RAWALPINDI: The police launched a search operation in various districts of Rawalpindi against several culprits involved in major crimes.
According to details, the police have arrested almost eleven suspects during the search operation from various parts of the city.
During the operation, the police arrested one accused of violating government orders, 3 accused of sheltering and assisting the criminals, 5 accused of possessing illegal weapons, and 2 accused of drug trafficking.
A police spokesperson informed that cases have been registered against the arrested accused. The spokesperson further informed that the police checked almost 80 houses and also seized 3 motorcycles without number plates.
A large contingent of police, including ladies police, elite section, and other law enforcement agencies took part in the operation. The police spokesperson said that the search operation was aimed at eradicating anti-social elements from the city.
Earlier today (Sunday), four people, including three security guards, were injured in the firing of the occupation mafia in Sangjani area of Rawalpindi.
According to details, the tragic incident took place under the patronage of a police sub-inspector Lal Shah. Sources informed that an attempt was made to grab worth billions of land belonging to the Housing Society of retired officers of the Pakistan Army
