RAWALPINDI: The Civil Line police station today (Saturday) have solved a blind murder case in Rawalpindi and arrested a man involved in the murder.
According to details, the Civil Line police station registered a report of the murder of a woman, Bilquis Bibi, yesterday (July 4). Police had found the dead body of the woman from a house. The incident took place in the Sher Zaman Colony area. The accused fled the scene after the murder.
After a thorough investigation in this regard, the police arrested the slain woman’s brother, for his involvement in the murder. The weapon involved in the murder was also recovered. During the interrogation, it was revealed that the motive behind the murder could be honour.
Earlier, a teenage girl had been stoned to death in the hometown of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. According to details, the incident took place in the Vada Chichar of Jamshoro district, which is the hometown of CM Murad Ali Shah.
The girl was brutally stoned to death by unidentified persons. However, the district police have not taken any action against the culprit.
