ISLAMABAD: The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have arrested two criminals involved in martyring two police officers by opening indiscriminate firing at the Tarnol police check post.
According to details, the detained criminals were identified as Sajjad and Muhammad Noor. The other two c-accused fled away from the scene.
The law enforcement agencies conducted a raid on a tip-off in the Golra area today (Saturday). During the raid, the accused in the house opened fire on law enforcement personnel.
After cross-firing, the agencies strategically arrested the two criminals and handed them over to Islamabad police. Police spokesperson informed that further investigation was underway.
The police official claimed that all the suspects are known criminals and confessed to committing robberies and mugging in different areas of the Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The police have recovered 5 hand grenades, two pistols and a large number of bullets from the possession of the arrested criminals.
Earlier on May 26, The suspects had opened fire at a police picket in the Tarnol area of Islamabad, killing two police officials named, Sagheer Ahmed and Khurram.
