WASHINGTON: The number of coronavirus infection cases across the world has risen to 9,532,038 and the pandemic has so far claimed 485,122 lives.
According to the latest data, 5,178,999 patients have recovered from the pandemic so far. The United States tops with nearly 2,462,554 cases and more than 124,281 deaths followed by Brazil with over 1,192,474 cases and more than 53,874 deaths.
Over 606,881 people have infected while 8,513 people died of the virus in Russia. The country has the third-highest number of recorded infections in the world.
India has reported 473,105 cases while 14,907 deaths due to the coronavirus. The TheUnited Kingdom has reported 43,081 fatalities and 306,862 infections.
Spain has recorded 28,327 fatalities and 294,166 infections. Peru has reported 264,689 cases while 8,586 deaths.
In Chile, nearly 254,416 cases were confirmed, including more than 4,731 deaths. Italy, which recorded its first coronavirus death at the end of February, has 34,644 fatalities, while 239,410 infections.
Meanwhile, the death toll is 9,996 in Iran as the confirmed number of cases is almost 212,501. Germany has reported 9,003 deaths and 193,254 infections.
Turkey reported 191,657 coronavirus cases and 5,025 fatalities. France has reported 29,731 deaths, and 161,348 cases.
China has to date declared 4,634 deaths and 83,449 cases, with 78,443 recoveries. In Belgium, 9,722 people succumbed to the disease while reported 60,898 cases due to the coronavirus.
Israel has reported 22,044 coronavirus cases while 308 deaths. Canada reported 8,484 fatalities and 102,242 infections due to coronavirus.
