RAWALPINDI: Police on Monday have apprehended a man involved in sexually abusing a teen boy in Rawalpindi, a police spokesperson informed.
As per details, the accused has been identified as Manzoor. A case was also registered with the RA Bazar police station against the culprit on the request of the victim’s father.
According to the police, the accused person called the child to his house under the pretext of bringing cigarettes and tried to abuse him. However, the boy ran away from the spot. Later, the police raided the suspect’s house and detained him.
A police official informed that following orders of City Police Officer (CPO), police have been adopting zero-tolerance policy against the child abusers.
Earlier on June 20, a complaint has filed against a cleric for his alleged involvement in sexually assaulting children in a mosque for the past fifteen years.
According to the complaint, children and students were being allegedly abused by a cleric in Jamia mosque of Model Town, Lahore. The Masjid committee also said that the man and his brother were involved in such gruesome acts.
