KARACHI: The security forces have arrested Assistant Director of Anti-Encroachment, Azfar Hussain, affiliated with MQM-London from Karachi’s area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
According to details, Azfar Hussain was involved in many heinous crimes including terrorism, extortion, and anti-state activities. The accused was arrested from Gulshan-e-Iqbal block 3.
Security forces have expedited action against the outlaws in the port city in order to maintain peace and stability.
Earlier, audio of Azfar Hussain went viral in which the accused confessed to receiving regular bribes. In this regard, he was suspended for a few days, however, he was re-appointed as the Assistant Director of Anti-Encroachment due to the influence of Chairman DMC East Moed Anwar.
Earlier in May, an official of Sindh Police was arrested in Karachi for allegedly operating a major terrorist network through terrorist financing, recruiting and tasking terrorists, surveillance, and reconnaissance of sensitive facilities.
According to the security forces, the accused was affiliated with Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London.
