RAWALPINDI: Police have yet to register FIR despite complaints against a ‘faith-healer’ who allegedly blackmailed and abused a married woman in the limits of Waris Khan police station Rawalpindi.
The woman alleged that she had gone to the faith-healer, Baba Allah Datta in the hopes that he could give her a spiritual treatment to break hurdles in her husband’s business.
The woman further said that on Thursday she went to the suspect’s outhouse near Haroon Chowk Rawalpindi as per routine after which the suspect subjected her to sexual assault on gunpoint.
The victim also alleged that the accused and his accomplices threatened dire consequences if she raised a complaint against faith-healer.
The accused, who would also practice quackery and black magic, would lure female followers into visiting him alone, sources said.
The woman said police has not registered the case yet despite the complaint. She appealed to authorities to help in conducting a DNA test.
The woman also appealed to the prime minister, Army chief, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and IGP Punjab to take action against the police for not registering FIR and order to provide an exemplary punishment to the accused.
