KARACHI: At least five children were drowned in a tank of an under-construction building in Surjani Town’s Sector 7D area in Karachi.
According to details, a group of five children jumped into the water tank of an under-construction building in order to swim but couldn’t survive.
The rescue official further informed that the children were between the ages of nine and 14. The rescue officials have retrieved the bodies and shifted them to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for completing legal formalities.
Earlier in November 2019, three cousins drowned while bathing in the sea at Manora beach, according to the police officials.
Police and rescuers informed that the deceased had gone for a picnic in Manora near PNS Himalaya. Rescue officials also informed that it took two hours for them to retrieve the bodies of all the three men
The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital, Karachi for medico-legal formalities. According to SHO Ghaffar Shah, the three men were residents of Gulistan-e-Jauhar and hailed from Moro.
