KARACHI: All Karachi Tajir Ittehad has categorically refused to implement the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) devised by the Sindh government with regards to online businesses.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi today (Saturday), the traders’ community has claimed that the devised SOPs would only favour 5 percent of the community, while the rest would continue to bear losses.
The community further said that the online business SOPs was a technical refusal by the Sindh government to our demands of opening businesses.
On the occasion, Chairman Tajir Ittehad Atiq Mir has claimed that the traders who indulged in dialogue with the provincial government have been trapped.
Atiq Mir further said that the government has directed the traders to fill and submit almost 600,000 applications to fulfill the new SOPs for online businesses, which is a mammoth task on its own.
The Chairman also said that the lockdown restrictions were merely in papers as millions of people were out on the streets of Karachi.
Earlier today (Saturday), the Sindh government issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to resume businesses amid coronavirus lockdown.
