ISLAMABAD: A man allegedly killed his young daughter after refusing to marry someone of his choice.
According to details, the incident happened in the neighborhood of district Hafizabad. The 20-year-old girl, Aisha Ghulam, was shot dead by her father.
A case has been registered against the accused at the Gojra police station on the request of Aisha’s uncle. He said that the man was forcing her daughter to marry someone of his choice, but she refused.
According to a police official, Aisha’s body was found by the side of the road this morning. The official also said that police have started searching the accused person.
Earlier in February, a man allegedly killed his daughter for contracting the marriage of her own choice in Mansehra.
According to police, the slain woman, 20, had married Mohammad Zahid some six months ago without the consent of his father, Mohammad Shakir.
According to a first information report (FIR), the accused entered her house and opened indiscriminate fire on her daughter-in-law in the kitchen, leaving her critically injured.
The wounded woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to injuries.
