KARACHI: Sindh Traders’ Alliance has announced to open all markets across the province from Wednesday (April 15) amid coronavirus outbreak.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of Sindh Traders’ Alliance Jamil Ahmed Paracha in a press conference today (Tuesday) in Karachi.
Jamil Paracha has said that traders have already cooperated with the Sindh government amid coronavirus pandemic by closing all markers for 28 days.
“The markets across the province would be opened from tomorrow (April 15) as per decided,” adding that the traders’ community has suffered a huge loss due to the lockdown.
Jamil Paracha further stated that owners were suffering to pay salaries to their employees because of zero sales, adding that if the lockdown was not lifted the traders would be forced to sack their employees.
The Alliance Chairman also announced that if the lockdown wasn’t lifted, the traders’ community would stage a sit-in in front is Sindh Chief Minister House.
He also said that Governor Imran Ismail and CM Murad Ali Shah would be responsible for the situation, adding that the government had failed to provide for the daily wagers.
The Alliance Chairman also said that traders would keep all precautionary measures in mind while re-opening businesses.
It is worth mentioning here that the federal government will decide the extension of the lockdown today (Tuesday) in the National Coordination Committee meeting.
