RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Army soldier embraced martyrdom in an exchange of fire with terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan on Tuesday.
According to statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a soldier Arshad Khan aged 26, embraced martyrdom during an exchange of fire with terrorists in Dargai, North West of Dattakhel, Northwazirstan.
The Security Forces spotted movement of terrorists in Dargai, 8 kms North West of Dattakhel, Northwazirstan and launched action against them which resulted in exchange of fire, the statement added.
Earlier, on April 10, two Pakistan Army soldiers had embraced martyrdom in a shootout with terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in North Waziristan, during which seven terrorists were also killed.
Sepoy Momin Shah aged 23 belonging to Dera Ismail Khan and Sepoy Muhammad Sajid 31, hailing from Abbotabad, were martyred during the operation.
On April 7, Seven terrorists were killed in two separate Intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted by security forces.
According to a press statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Security Forces carried out two separate IBOs during the last 24 hours on information of terrorist hideouts in North Wazirstan and Mohmand areas.
