RAWALPINDI: Two Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom in a shootout with terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan on Friday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted on intelligence based operation in North Waziristan, seven terrorists were also killed.
Sepoy Momin Shah aged 23 belonging to Dera Ismail Khan and Sepoy Muhammad Sajid 31, hailing from Abbotabad, were martyred during the operation.
Earlier, on April 7, Seven terrorists were killed in two separate Intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted by security forces.
According to a press statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Security Forces carried out two separate IBOs during the last 24 hours on information of terrorist hideouts in North Wazirstan and Mohmand. As a result of the operation seven terrorists were killed.
The statement further said in North Wazirstan Security Forces conducted operations in the village Idel Khel on credible intelligence information regarding the presence of terrorists.
Four terrorists were killed while trying to escape during the operation. A cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the spot, the press release added.
Separately, in an intelligence-based operation on a terrorist hideout in Mohmand, three terrorists were killed while IEDs, night vision sights, extremist literature and Indian origin medicines were recovered.
