KARACHI: Pakistan Navy along with the officials of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 100 kilograms of heroin today (Friday) during a sea operation.
According to the provided details, Pakistan Navy and the Anti-Narcotics Force conducted a joint intelligence-based operation at Pishukan near Jiwani, Balochistan.
In this regard, a Navy spokesperson informed that forces seized a huge cache of narcotics, including 100 kilograms of ice-drug in the joint operation.
The spokesperson further informed that a PMSA vessel approached a suspicious fast speed boat of suspected smugglers and seized the drugs and then impounded the boat.
The spokesperson also informed that the value of the seized narcotics was estimated to be approximately Rs 2.2 billion in the international market. The narcotics were handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force for further legal proceedings.
He said, “The operation was a testament to the ability and capability of Pakistan Navy,” adding that Pakistan Navy would take every possible step to clean the seaways of the country from any criminal activity.
