MOSCOW: The Kremlin has confirmed a case in President’s Vladimir Putin’s administration today (Friday) as the government directed to tighten measures across Russia.
The Kremlin has announced that it was taking measures to contain the outbreak of the virus further after a staff member of president administration contracted with virus.
It further informed that the person – contracted with coronavirus – had not come into contact with Russian President, but declined to identify them.
Coronavirus has claimed lives of 4 people in Russia and the national tally of confirmed cases jumped by a record daily amount for third day in a row, taking Russia’s total to 1036.
In this regard, Russian President has also declared next week a non-working week, and Moscow will close all cafes, restaurants and shops apart from those selling food and medicine, until April 5.
Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said measures in place in Moscow to halt the outbreak of the virus should be imposed across Russia and urged the nation to stay at home. International flights have also been suspended.
