MOSCOW: Russian Military will start sending medical help to Italy from today (Sunday) to help the country to battle the novel coronavirus, country’s Defence Ministry announced.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken to Italian premier in this regard and offered his support in terms of mobile disinfection vehicles and specialists to aid the worst-hit Italian regions.
Defence Ministry further informed that the military transport planes would deliver eight mobile brigades of military medics, special disinfection vehicles and other medical equipment to Italy.
“Country will also send 100 military specialists in virology and epidemics,” Russian Defence Ministry informed.
Italy has become the worst affected countries in the world from coronavirus and has surpassed China in death toll. The country’s death toll has risen to 4,825.
On the other hand, Russia itself has reported 306 cases of the virus, most of them in Moscow, and one coronavirus-related death.
