KARACHI: Amid coronavirus outbreak, Sindh government offices are closed, while office of Karachi Development Authority (KDA) at civic centre remained open.
Employees of KDA while criticizing the management said that the authorities have handed them over to coronavirus.
The employees said that the provincial government has ordered the closure of all the government and private offices, schools, etc from Thursday but KDA’s office isn’t taking action.
In this regard, the KDA authorities have said that Municipal Minister Nasir Hussain Shah has directed to keep the institution open and take precautionary measures.
The authorities have also claimed that people are restricted to ground floors and are not allowed to visit other floors.
Employees have appealed that the civic centre should be closed in order to provide protection to them. They further urged the authorities to take action immediately.
It is worth mentioning here confirmed cases of coronavirus in Sindh have risen to 359, while 93 cases have been confirmed in Karachi.
