SRINAGAR: A soldier of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was committed suicide by shooting himself at Srinagar civil secretariat.
According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), a 36-year-old soldier, Dilbagh Singh deployed at Srinagar civil secretariat shot himself with his service rifle while on duty on Friday night.
After receiving information about the incident, police reached the scene and found Dilbagh in a pool of blood. The body was moved to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The cases of suicide could not be ascertained immediately. On February 13, In occupied Kashmir, an Indian soldier had committed suicide in the Ashmuqam area of the district.
The soldier affiliated with three Battalions of Rashtriya, Balram Singh ended his life by taking some poisonous substance during duty at his camp.
This incident raised the number of such deaths among Indian soldiers and police in occupied Kashmir raised more than 448 since 2007.
