DUBAI: The Dubai Mall, the world’s second-largest shopping mall has been temporarily closed due to the ongoing coronavirus disease.
Along with the Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Dubai Marina Mall will also be remained closed until 31st March.
The news was confirmed by the management of the Dubai Mall who posted it on Twitter, “Nothing is more important to us than the well-being of our guests and staff.”
In this regard, all programs up to 31st March have been canceled and those who bought tickets will be refunded to them. The money will be automatically returned to their account.
Moreover, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) educational institutions have already been closed for four weeks due to the coronavirus. So far 98 cases of the disease have been confirmed in the UAE.
The UAE has suspended all congregational prayers, including those offered on Friday, across all mosques for a period of four weeks.
The country recently suspended the issuance of visas to Pakistani citizens for an indefinite period amid coronavirus fears.
