KARACHI: Police arrested a man in Karachi today (Monday) for selling fake vaccines of coronavirus.
According to details, the police arrested the man in Clifton area of Karachi as he was spreading fake news regarding the vaccine of coronavirus.
The police also claimed that the suspect deceived people by claiming to be a doctor and was operating a clinic as well. The police have registered a case against the suspect at the Defence Police station.
The novel coronavirus, which first originated in Wuhan, China, and has spread to more than 150 countries around the world has killed more than 6,000 people and affected over 170,000.
World Health Organization (WHO) has declared coronavirus ‘a pandemic’. So far, no vaccines have been developed that can cure the virus.
Sindh is one of the most affected provinces in Pakistan as 150 cases of the coronavirus have been so far reported from the province. Karachi has reported 26 cases of the virus in total.
