CHAGAI: Trade activities have partially resumed at the Pakistan-Iran border today (Saturday) after two weeks amid coronavirus fears.
According to Levies officials, the borders have been opened after 14 days and the trailers coming and going into the country.
The officials further informed that the drivers were being screened at the border and the vehicles were being sprayed before entering Pakistan.
Earlier, Pakistan closed its Taftan border with Iran after more than 120 people were killed and more than 4,500 infected with coronavirus in Iran.
Many vehicles loaded with goods meant for trade were stranded at the border as trade ties were affected.
Meanwhile, a number of pilgrims coming in from Iran to Pakistan have exceeded three thousand on Friday.
