KASHMIR: Indian troops have martyred at least 74 Kashmiris, including three women and four teenagers during the ongoing seven-month long siege and lockdown in occupied Kashmir.
Research Section of Kashmir Media Service issued a statement stated on the end of seven-months of unavoidable military lockdown, out of those martyred seven youth were killed in fake shootouts or keeping illegal custody than killed.
The statement further said that during the corresponding period, at least 943 people were gravely wounded due to firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells on calm protestors by Indian occupation troops.
It said that several Hurriyat leaders, civilians, activists, politicians and including All Parties Hurriyat Chairman Syed Ali Gilani, and several human rights activists, compelled to remain under house arrest or in jails during the period.
The report further said the occupation establishment also did not allow people to offer Friday prayers for 19 consecutive weeks at historical Jamia Masjid in Srinagar after 5th August.
The people of Kashmir emphases the international community leaders to take notice of the dilemma of the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir, who have been living under absolute lockdown since August 5 when New Delhi revoked the region’s sovereign status.
