LAHORE: Three youths were crushed to death by a speeding truck in the Bhati Gate area of Punjab on Sunday.
According to police sources, a fast-moving truck went out of driver’s control after its break fail and crushed a motorcycle at Bhati Gate. As a result, three youths, identified as Arsalan, Ahmad and Akhter killed on the spot.
Police officials said adding that soon after the incident the truck driver fled away from the scene. The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities. The police have registered a case into the accident and started further investigation.
In a separate accident in Sukkur on 28 February, At least 20 people were killed and several injured after a train collided with a passenger coach near Rohri.
The deadly incident took place at a railway crossing when Pakistan Express collided with a passenger bus, which was on the way to Sargodha from Karachi. Soon after the accident, Rangers, police and rescue teams have reached the scene and shift the bodies and injured to a nearby hospital.
