KARACHI: A one-year-old boy was killed after a fire erupted at a house, while a man shot dead by unidentified armed men in the metropolis early hours of Tuesday.
According to sources, the minor Abdul Rehman was sleeping in a room on the first floor of the house in North Karachi area fire erupted.
According to the police, the fire erupted due to short-circuit at the room and the child died. while the parents of the child were downstairs.
The fire brigade reached after a bit of delay because of which they weren’t able to save the kid. All the furniture in the room was destroyed in the blaze too.
Separately, A man was shot dead by unidentified armed men in Sikandarabad area of the city in the wee hours of Tuesday. According to rescue sources, unidentified armed men opened fire at a 40-year-old man, Tasali Khan, son of Noor Bux Khan, in Sikandarabad’s Street No-8.
As a result, he suffered severe bullet injuries and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
