KARACHI: A First Investigation Report (FIR) has been lodged in Boat Basin police Station on the court orders against the polio workers who allegedly administered wrong injection to a 2-year-old girl.

According to details, a 2-year-old girl named, Laiba, died after she was allegedly administered wrong injection by the polio workers.
The father of the girl, named Zurrain Muhammad has said that her daughter died due to the negligence of the polio workers. The deceased’s father is a resident of House No. 837, Block A, Shireen Jinnah Colony and is a police officer.
He further said that on July 4, his daughter was suffering from high fever and her leg was swollen. His wife told him that a vaccination camp was set up in the area and a team was taking the children from home for vaccination.
Laiba was also administered three injections after which the condition of the girl started to deteriorate, he added.
The father added that on July 11, doctors at Indus Hospital Korangi declared a leg amputation and before the operation his daughter died.
He demanded a transparent inquiry of this incident and to take action against those who are involved.
