KASUR: Kasur police on Monday foiled an attempt of selling a teenage girl and has apprehended a couple allegedly involved in the heinous crime.
According to Kasur police, the couple, Riaz and Bushra abducted a 13-year- old girl Saima from Muzaffargarh and had put her in their custody for about a week.
Police further said that the husband and wife were residents of Chahal Nau village of Kanganpur. A police official told that the couple put the girl in custody for about a week and also tortured her.
He said the alleged couple may run such business however, the police had started a further probe into the matter.
Police said culprits had a plan to sell the girl but in time response by the police thwarted their efforts. A case has been registered against the culprits.
