FEROZEWALA, PUNJAB: A man turned out to be the murderer of his 15-year-old daughter, who was found dead a few days ago near Ferozewala’s Khanpur Canal.
The police arrested the man on suspicion, which was also the complainant in the missing case of his daughter, Police said. The suspect, Akhtar, confessed of killing his 15-year-old daughter, Mehwish, during the initial interrogation, Akhtar told the police that he had shot down her daughter in the name of honor.

The suspect told the police after killing his daughter and lodged an FIR saying his daughter was missing. Police said the investigation into the matter has been initiated to find out the further details of the murder.

Earlier on January 9, an uncle and aunt had turned out to be killers of a seven-year-old girl who had been killed in Okara a few days ago. According to police, when her maternal uncle and aunt had lured her to a deserted place and strangled her to death, the minor girl Iqra was playing outside her house.
