KASUR: Local police in Kasur district apprehended a suspect on Monday who sold his 12-years-old daughter for sexual abuse after against Rs 500.
Sources disclosed that a man sold his 12-year old daughter to a man for sexual abuse after receiving Rs 500, and invited him to come to his house in Kasur district.
Police said that they recorded victims’ mother statement after registering FIR against culprits. The victims’ mother told to police “That her husband called a man to their house and let him sexually abuse their 12-year old daughter after receiving Rs 500”.
She further informed that she was not at home for some work when the incident took place, adding that her daughter told her about the incident when she returned home.
However, the suspect who gave cash to the victim’s father escaped. The victim was brought to Pattoki THQ Hospital for medical examination and the medical report also suggested that it was an incident of attempted rape.
DPO Zahid Nawaz Marwat also formed a team comprising CIA officials for the arrest of the suspects. The suspects were booked under Article 376 (of rape), 371-A (selling person for the purposes of prostitution), 371-B (buying person for the purposes of prostitution) of PPC against the suspects and were conducting raids to arrest them.
According to district police station SHO, the suspect who gave the amount to the father had earlier been accused in a child abuse case in 2013. While the police had registered a new FIR against both suspects on complaint of the minor’s mother, police said.
