KARTARPUR: Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said that the opening of Kartarpur Corridor would significantly improve bilateral ties between Pakistan and India.
Manmohan Singh termed it as a big moment. He thanked Pakistan for its efforts to inaugurate the Kartarpur Corridor.
Singh and Indian Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh arrived at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur with a Sikh delegation earlier today.
Singh and the Indian delegation entered Pakistan through the gates at zero points. Pakistani officials welcomed the Sikh pilgrims.

Amarinder Singh said that the Sikh community has been waiting for a free passage for 70 years, and maintained that it is a good beginning.
Prime Minister has reached Kartarpur to inaugurate the corridor ceremony.
Kartarpur is a visa-free corridor where Sikh pilgrims can come after getting their passports scanned and biometric confirmation with a nominal payment of service charges of only 20 dollars per head. The pilgrims will come in the morning and will return in the evening.
