ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has stated that Pakistan condemned the attack in Afghanistan which claimed a large number of lives.
A statement issued by the Foreign Office stated that Pakistan has strongly condemned the attack on a mosque in Afghanistan during Friday prayers in Nangarhar province.
According to the FO statement, “We share the grief of the bereaved families and offer our deepest sympathies and condolences over their loss in this mindless act of terrorism. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their loved ones in this difficult time.”
FO stated that Pakistan condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and has stood in solidarity with the government and people of Afghanistan in their fight against terrorism.
According to data collected from authorities in Nangarhar province, the death toll from the attack has risen to 62 and injured 33 people are injured. The Taliban have condemned the attack and accused the attack on the Islamic State group.
