ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia to protest against another ceasefire violation by the Indian forces from across the Line of Control (LoC) which killed one civilian.
According to the press release, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Faisal said that Indian forces opened fire in the Nizapir and Bagsar sectors.
The spokesperson said that a 50-year-old woman was killed and three other people were injured in the Indian firing.
The spokesperson pointed out that the Indian forces had frequently been targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars, and automatic weapons.

The spokesperson said that the unprecedented escalation in ceasefire violations by India was continuing from the year 2017 when the Indian forces committed 1,970 ceasefire violations
He said that the actions by India were a threat to regional peace and security. The spokesperson urged India to adhere to the 2003 ceasefire agreement.
