ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will launch a mobile application for salaried employees to file tax returns on Friday.
FBR Chairman Shabbar Zaidi has said that the revenue collection body will launch a mobile app for salaried employees to file tax returns.
While talking to journalists, Shabbar Zaidi said that the mobile application would help citizens and salaried employees to file their tax returns.
He said that FBR has decided to introduce the mobile app to facilitate the masses, business community and salaried people.
According to chairman, the app will make tax filing easy and less time consuming. He termed the mobile app a milestone towards complete digitalization of the tax system.
Earlier on 2nd September, the chairman said that 90 percent of revenue collection has been achieved. Shabbar Zaidi in a tweet said that FBR’s target for FY2019-20 was achieved to the extent of 90 percent, which was Rs.580 billion against the target of Rs644 billion.
According to the chairman, FBR collection for the month of July stood at Rs 297.4 billion despite 8-10 non-working days on account of Eid-ul-Azha.
