KARACHI: The concerned authorities have failed to take action against the illegal promotions revealed in District Municipal Corporation (DMC) East through fake order of Sindh Local Government Department.
According to details, two employees were illegally promoted to Grade 18 in the presence of senior officials, and are also holding other positions in the department as well.
The two officials were identified as Mansoor Sheikh and Asif Rizvi. Relevant sources revealed that Asif Rizvi was appointed in Hyderabad district, but later was transferred to Karachi DMC East at Grade 17 under alleged political patronage.
On the other hand, Mansoor Sheikh was earlier suspended by former MC East Manzoor Abbasi on charges of illegal recruitment. Senior employees of DMC East have demanded appealed to the concerned authorities to take notice of the fake employment and illegal promotions of Dr Asif and Mansoor Sheikh.
Earlier on December 4, the higher authorities of the Karachi Development Authority’s (KDA) education department illegally promoted a female teacher 10 times in seven years, it has been revealed.
