ISLAMABAD: National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser has assured the businessmen that their issues would be resolved soon.
Speaking at a ceremony organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Qaiser said he would call FBR officials and other business-related entities to the NA standing committees to address major issues faced by the business community.
He said the government will provide all-out assistance to facilitate the business community for profitable business activities. He stressed on the need for inter-provincial coordination and increasing further cooperation in diverse fields.
MNA Sajida Zulfiqar appreciated the good work done by outgoing ICCI president Muhammad Ahmed Waheed and his team during their tenure. She hoped that the incoming team of ICCI would achieve many new milestones for the business community.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan on the occasion briefed the participants about the potential investment opportunities in Punjab, saying that the business community should capitalize on them to achieve lucrative results.
Meanwhile, outgoing ICCI president Muhammad Ahmed Waheed highlighted the key achievements during his tenure.
He said that with untiring efforts, he got resolved some very old issues of the business community from Capital Development Authority, FBR and other organizations. He hoped that his successor would carry forward his positive initiatives to serve the cause of the business community.
ICCI President Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan lauded the achievements of his predecessor, saying that he would try to hold expos in Islamabad besides making efforts for new industrial estate in the city and organizing seminars for the benefit of businessmen.
