RAWALPINDI: A fourteen-year-old girl was kidnapped and sexually assaulted in the street when she was going to give food at her brother’s house.
The victim’s mother said her daughter Rimsha Bibi was going to her brother’s house at 11 AM a couple of days ago when the incident occurred. A youth named Aqib along with his friends was in the street corner when they spotted the girl and committed the heinous act.
The victim’s mother said the suspects were armed and carried her away in an unlicensed car. She said another area resident named Ejaz was an eyewitness and had informed them after which the police were called.
She said her daughter was taken to an unknown located where Aqib, his friend Shahbaz and another unidentified man, sexually assaulted her. The girl narrated the ordeal to her mother after she managed to come home.
She said a complaint was lodged at Sadiqabad police station but police refused to register a case. A First Information Report (FIR) was registered after two days but the suspects are still at large and no efforts have been made to arrest them.
