RAWALPINDI: A father allegedly sexually abused his own daughter who had returned home after contracting freewill marriage.
The incident occurred in Burewala where the woman Alisha Rafiq said she had married Muhammad Iqbal of her free will. She was living with her husband and visited her family in Chak no. 124IB Vehari on 10th August.
The victim said she was at her parent’s home with her father, while her mother was gone to the neighbours, when he sexually molested her and threatened not to tell anyone.
The woman returned to her in-laws where she narrated the incident to her husband and father-in-law Liaquat Ali who asked the reason for being worried and returning back home early.
The victim said she has also narrated the incident to her mother Kaneez Fatima and brother Husnain but they refused to believe her. The woman claims she has video evidence of the incident which her father filmed while committing the indecent act.
She said her father also threatened her husband and father-in-law after which they lodged a complaint with the police. After a medical examination, the police filed a case against her father under Section 376.
The victim said the culprit has not been arrested yet. She appealed to the chief minister to provide her justice and provide an exemplary punishment.
