A man asked an intellectual, “What is the definition of corruption?” He replied without hesitation that exceeding from authority is corruption. When we applied this formula, our entire bureaucracy and all our politicians become corrupt. Our religion is against all forms of corruption.
Our religious, political and social leaders and institutions must come to the fore against corruption; this temptation can be countered with courage. Religious scholars can help in highlighting the philosophy of ‘Halal’ and ‘Haram’. Most importantly, it is impossible to eradicate corruption in a Muslim society without distinguishing between ‘Halal’ and ‘Haram’.
The rulers need to be very careful in this regard. Former Punjab Chief Minister’s wife Tehmina Durrani has told the truth that offshore companies are immoral. The transfer of domestic capital from illegal sources to foreign countries is a terrible thing, which is commonly known as ‘money laundering’. In many parts of the world, money laundering is considered a major crime because it can lead to many social evils and crimes.
Islam forbids all forms of corruption. In a religion where abuse of power is considered corruption, the standard for its ruler can be imagined. It is a different matter that now the distinction between Halal and Haraam is disappearing in Pakistani society. This is the root of the problem. The lust for wealth, the race to get ahead of each other, the false glory in society and the desire to become rich overnight have made the majority restless.
These desires have forced us to go beyond authority but Mian Nawaz Sharif’s family has been blessed by Allah. Why did they need to set up such offshore companies? It is true that the revelation of Nawaz Sharif’s family’s offshore companies was a big shock to the people.
In the past, the stories of Asif Ali Zardari’s corruption were famous, and then many similar stories of Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf started circulating. Later, stories of corruption by the PTI government started to circulate. Who can we trust now? How strange that the workers of every party are seen defending the thieves instead of supporting the truth.
Another thing is that when Mian Nawaz Sharif, while addressing the parliament, informed the people about the facts about his family. At that time, I wish they would also tell the people how much they sold the Saudi Arabian steel mills? How many offshore companies does his family own? And what is the total value of their assets?
The only solution to this problem is to tell the nation the real facts. Truth has always power and lies can never succeed. , A thousand lies have to be told to cover up a lie, this is what happened to the Mian Nawaz Sharif family. Every family member gave such ugly interpretations, lied so much that even the ‘lie’ was embarrassing.
Mian Nawaz Sharif drowned in Panama, PPP chairman Asif Ali Zardari, his sister and only son are trapped in a maelstrom of fake bank accounts and money laundering cases. And they have no idea how to get out of this vicious circle. The same is the case of Malik Riaz of Bahria Town. Surprisingly, the so-called powerful people are afraid of NAB but not of God.
If a man fears God, he can avoid many sins but greed, lust and love of wealth have created so many problems that one is now thirsty for peace. The present and former rulers have to realize this fact. The nation does not accept incomplete truth. Only living nations are victorious. Living nations love the truth. We also have to prove that we are a living nation, otherwise, we will witness a further increase in problems.
The desire to amass wealth through every legitimate and illegitimate means is terrifying. You should know that desires can bring disgrace to man. Love or hate, desires can change destiny. There is no end to desires. It is important for man not to do such a heinous act for the fulfillment of desires that it would embarrass humanity.
