SIALKOT: The body of a seven-year-old girl who went for tuition in the Ghoenki area has been recovered from a nearby house.
According to sources, the girl went for tuition yesterday and did not return. After a long search, the girl was not found and a case of abduction was registered against her father. Her body was later found in a nearby house.
DPO Mustansir Feroze said that the Punjab Forensic Agency team is present at the spot which is collecting evidence on a scientific basis. He further said that the search for the culprit is on and it is hoped that he will be traced and arrested soon.
It is suspected that the girl was killed after being raped but a final opinion can be formed only after the post-mortem report. The DPO said that after gathering evidence, the body would be shifted to Civil Hospital for postmortem.
