LAHORE: The district police have claimed to foiled a major terrorism bid and arrested an alleged suicide bomber near Lahore Railway Station today (Tuesday).
According to details, the police conducted a raid near the Railway station on the information obtained from a suspect, who was already in police custody.
During the raid, the police apprehended the alleged suicide bomber into custody. Sources informed that the suspect has been shifted to an unidentified place for interrogation.
Earlier today (Tuesday), the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Lahore foiled a terror plot by arresting a terrorist of a banned outfit.
According to details, the terrorist was waiting for a suicide bomber near Railway Station along with explosive material. The terrorist had been identified as Liaquat.
Preliminary investigation informed that the bombers were plotting to attack important offices. He had been moved to an unknown place by the CTD for more investigation into the matter.
