KARACHI: The district police have failed to arrest the killers of a Christian man, Almas Masih, who was strangled to death on July 2, according to the family members.
According to details, the deceased man was the resident of Hudood Azam Town near Mehmoodabad. Almas Masih was strangled to death near Karachi’s Jackson market. The Jackson police had however registered the case.
The family member of Almas Masih has accused his wife of the involvement in the murder. The victim’s brothers had demanded the police to interrogate Almas’ wife. However, the family members of the victim informed that the police weren’t taking any action after preliminary investigation.
Abbas Masih, the victim’s brother, told MM News that the Jackson police had not included the victim’s wife in the case despite their identification.
Abbas said his slain brother and his wife often had quarrels, as evidenced by all the neighbors. He further informed that the victim had suspicions over wife having extramarital affairs.
The family members of the slain victim have appealed to Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and concerned authorities to take notice of the issue and arrest the killers as soon as possible.
