KARACHI: The district police have arrested a man posing as an intelligence officer in Karachi today (Monday). A case has been registered against the arrested accused.
According to details, the arrested person would claim he is an intelligence officer and then looted people. The person has been identified as Haider Kayani.
The Super Highway police team arrested him on a tip-off. A police spokesperson informed that the culprit is also a fugitive in innumerable cases. The police official further said that during the investigation, the accused was threatening them by using the name of a political party.
The spokesperson informed that the arrested accused had also set up various fake construction companies and had looted millions of rupees from the people Sarjani and Gulshan-e-Maymar.
Earlier on Saturday, A man posing as a military officer had been arrested in Kohat. KDA police station SHO Tahir Nawaz identified the suspect as Amir Hasan. He said several FIRs had already been registered against Hasan for fraud in the FIA and KDA police station. The law enforcers are investigating further.
