In love with the soil, you also have to pay off debts that are not owed to you. I am nothing, have nothing, and can do nothing without the grace of the Almighty Allah. Some interrogative rhetorical conceptualizations were co-occurring in my mind. There was a helplessness that kept me restless. Mohsin Bhopali once said, “Raw soil would smell. My voice had to be raised against the oppression of the soil because it was my obsession.”
Abbas Tabish seems to be a cruel person. He once said, “Love stories don’t die, people die while playing their roles.” I also thought that if I have to die one day, why not die by playing my role. And the role should be played in such a way the people appreciate it.
I started my career in News Action Committee and Karachi Union Journalists (KUJ) was ideologically my stop. However, the destination is still far away. I am determined and with the help of sincere colleagues, the mission is very clear to bring back the lost heritage to my tribe. I don’t want to trade their honors for a penny. Look around you, those who didn’t have such status to purchase a bicycle are riding a car today.
Today, when I am practically on the field, I can imagine how ruthlessly these people have robbed us and have mocked our hopes. Believe me, you could get justice, but your horses were of circus, not for the race. They did not approach the courts of the country or other institutions for justice.
The Karachi Union Journalists ideologue is only two months old and today we have already approached Sindh High Court and Federal Ombudsman for our justice. These corrupt people and their organizations were so ignorant that they did not even know where the path to justice came from?
They have lost their credibility. Hazrat Ali (R.A) said that when the time comes, people do not change but are exposed. These people have also been exposed. History will tell that when the people of their community were struggling with hunger, their so-called leaders were participating in festivals.
We are here to support our brothers. We will always raise voice against oppression. Although our resources are limited, however, we are not ‘Envelope Journalists’. We are not hypocrites, we are not corrupt. We are a symbol of struggle. The days of corrupt are gone and their game is over. A new morning is waiting for you.
