ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police claimed to have arrested three suspects for making counterfeit cold drinks and registered FIRs against them.
According to sources, the suspects were arrested on charges of selling counterfeit cold drinks for a long time.
On a tip-off, police arrested three suspects in the Pind Pandorian area of Islamabad and recovered a large number of counterfeit drinks and beverage equipment, sources added.
The police also sealed a fake petrol agency during the raid. The arrested accused were identified as Haseebullah, Inam Din and Adil.
Meanwhile, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a man accused of stealing money from ongoing relief programs of the Punjab government through fake mobile SIM cards.
According to the FIA Cyber Crime Wing, the accused Yaqoob used to loot cash from Benazir Income Support Program, Ehsas Program and other aid packages on fake fingerprints.
On a tip-off, the accused was arrested during a raid in Taranda Muhammad Tehsil of Rahim Yar Khan District.
The police also recovered two mobile SIM cards activation devices, an internet device, SIM cards of more than 110 different companies, eight ATM cards and other items from the arrested accused possession. A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
