RAWALPINDI: A disobedient son has alleged forged and seized his elderly father’s property in Taxila tehsil of Rawalpindi.
The heart-wrenching incident took place in Sangjani area of Taxila where the eldest son of 106-year-old Abdul Hai alleged forged documents in connivance with a patwari (revenue officer) to transfer his property to his name.
Abdul Hai said that he married twice. After the death of his first wife, with whom he had four children, he married for the second time and his six other children. The old man has demanded justice saying that his disobedient children from his first wife have usurped his property.
He said his son Yaqub abused his second wife and has been unjust to his other children. He claimed that Yaqub conspired with a Patwari and Tehsildar to forge documents and seize his property.
He said he went local court with Yaqub and submitted his thumbprints on the patwari’s register and asked to transfer his property only to the children from his second wife. However, he was shocked to find out that the patwari had instead transferred the property to Yaqub.
Abdul Hai also alleged that Yaqub has filed a bogus FIR against his step-brother on his behalf. He said that Yaqub brutally attacked his younger son at the Taxila police station, while the sub-inspector Iqbal Chandio is also harassing them at Yaqub’s behest.
The senior citizen has requested the government to dismiss the bogus FIR and urged Punjab chief minister to return his property from his disobedient children.
