Since childhood, I have heard in my life that everything is adulterated. Nothing is pure. Everything is disorganized. So where is the real mess? Is it in the rulers of the country or in the people?
Listening to the people and based on my personal experience, I say that the country has been looted and by the rulers. Corruption has spoiled Pakistan completely and is resulting in an increase in poverty, unemployment, hunger, and is tarnished the image of the country by bringing immense miseries to its people.
One day, after a long time, I had the opportunity to meet my friends. All of them were expressing their views regarding the country’s situation. One of my friends started criticizing the system and the rulers. He said, “None of the rulers is loyal to the country and their position. Every ruler is here to make money. They haven’t done anything for the prosperity of the country through which a change can come.”
After returning home, I questioned myself that Are we right? What we have played for the betterment of the country? What are we doing ourselves? Aren’t we also responsible for this mess?
Water in milk, artificial colors in turmeric, injected fruits, the meat of dead animals, fake soaps, fake shampoos, fake medicines, fake doctors, poor quality equipment, cheatings in exam, hypocrisy in relationships, selling false goods, bribery, modest women’s clothing, dancing at weddings and drinking parties, adult movies, disrespecting adult, pride and many more. And then we complain that our prayers don’t fulfill.
By messing all these works, our children become officers, politicians, lawyers, or rulers. Then why we complain about all these? We want collective change directly, not individual change. We need to change ourselves first. Remember, if you want to change the country, you have to change yourself first.
