SRINAGAR: Indian troops continued their atrocities and martyred two more Kashmiri youth in the Indian-occupied Kashmir on Wednesday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian occupation forces martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation at Melhora in Zainapora area of Shopian district.
The killing of the youth triggered massive anti-India demonstrations in the area. Indian troops fired pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters, causing clashes between the demonstrators and Indian forces’ personnel.
On April 27, Indian troops had martyred three youth in Kulgam district of occupied Kashmir. According to the international media service, the youth were killed during an operation at Lower Munda in Qazingund area of the district.
Earlier on April 25, the troops had martyred four youth during a similar operation in the Melhora area of Shopian district.
Indian authorities have also suspended internet service and blocked all entry and exit points in the area.
The people of Kashmir had urged the international community to take notice of their dilemma as they have been living under absolute lockdown since 5th August when New Delhi revoked the region’s sovereign status.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday said India is violating international laws and UN resolutions by maneuvering to change the demography of occupied Kashmir.
The foreign minister said Indian forces have put the entire Kashmiri leadership and thousands of Kashmiri youth in Indian jails to subjugate their voice and fundamental human rights.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi urged the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the international community to take notice of the grave violation of the international law by India.
