Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, met former national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi at his residence, with both sides describing the meeting as cordial and dignified.
Taking to the social media platform X, Shahid Afridi said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s visit was a source of pride and happiness for him, adding that his presence made the atmosphere warm and pleasant.
Afridi and his family expressed gratitude for the visit, describing the meeting as a memorable and meaningful occasion.
It is worth noting that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has held several important meetings over the past week as part of his ongoing political and public engagements, involving political leaders, government figures and various delegations.
Meanwhile, China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong also met Maulana Fazlur Rehman along with a delegation, during which both sides discussed the regional situation, law and order, and Pakistan–China bilateral relations in detail.
According to sources, multiple delegations visited Fazlur Rehman at his residence during his recent political engagements, where discussions were held on the country’s political landscape, constitutional matters and future political strategy.
