James Cameron might already be setting his sights on that fourth Avatar movie (after giving everyone a bit of a scare about its future), but it’s finally time for the third film to make the trip from Pandora to the comfort of your own home.
The official logline for the film reads, “With Avatar: Fire and Ash, James Cameron takes audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) and the Sully family.”
Avatar: Fire and Ash also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Kate Winslet, Jack Champion, David Thewlis, Edie Falco, CCH Pounder, Britain Dalton, Bailey Bass, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss and Cliff Curtis.
Disney confirmed that Avatar: Fire and Ash will be available to purchase and rent digitally starting next week on March 31, ahead of a physical release in May.
As well as, of course, the movie itself, the home release will come with an array of bonus features that’s “over 3 hours,” according to Disney—or, you know, basically almost as long as Fire and Ash itself. Sounds about right for a James Cameron affair!
