The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain with thunderstorms for Karachi this Tuesday, under the influence of a new westerly wave.
Under this weather system, Karachi is likely to experience rain and thunderstorms on February 17. This may be accompanied by dusty winds blowing at higher-than-usual speeds.
According to the Met Office, a westerly wave is expected to reach the western parts of the country today.

Rain and thunderstorms are also expected on the evening or night of February 16 and 17 in the following areas.
- Karachi Division
- Hyderabad, Thatta, and Badin
- Dadu, Jamshoro, and Larkana
- Jacobabad and Khairpur
Despite the rain forecast for specific areas, the weather is expected to remain dry across most parts of the province, with cold nights persisting.
