The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) showed a stable performance in the opening session of the week, with the interbank and open market rates maintaining a narrow spread.
According to data as of Monday, February 9, 2026, the US dollar is trading at an interbank selling rate of 280.1, while the open market selling rate stands slightly higher at 282.3.

While the narrowing spread between interbank and open market rates signals improved liquidity and reduced speculation, the business community remains cautiously optimistic.
Recent government incentive packages, including reductions in power tariffs and export refinance rates, are seen as vital steps toward shifting the focus from mere stabilization to productive industrial growth.
